FALL/WINTER 2026
NEW ROMANTIC

ABOUT THE COLLECTION
For those who frequented London’s legendary Blitz nightclub in the early 1980s, a new dressing dialect emerged. The Blitz Kids—among them Boy George, Stephen Jones, and Billy Idol—shed their spiky punk hair, ripped T-shirts, and leathers in favor of New Romantic fantasy: pirates, highwaymen, swashbucklers. Each night was a performance, a chance, staged in the hope that the club’s founder and infamous door supervisor, Steve Strange, would grant entry.
Anna first met Steve Strange as a punk. Six months later, she met him again transformed into a New Romantic with a new band, VISAGE.
For Fall/Winter 2026, Anna Sui presents her own New Romantic vision. This collection reflects her fantasy of how she’d like to see people dressing today—essentially, dressing up. While she isn’t imposing a dress code as strict as the Blitz’s, she asks us to reconsider our relationship with getting dressed. What do we want to say? And how are we saying it?
This collection is dedicated to
my beautiful mom, Grace Sui
(1926-2026).
